Integrations built for endodontic practices

SendVyte connects directly to the four systems an endodontic practice actually runs on: TDO Software, Twilio for SMS, Stripe for payments, and Google for sign-in and route optimization. No Zapier, no middleware, no generic API glue.

Four integrations. All native. All purpose-built.

Most dental communication platforms lean on a long list of shallow integrations to look broad. SendVyte does the opposite: deep, native integration with the four systems that actually matter for an endodontic practice on TDO. Every integration below runs in production today — this is not a roadmap page.

TDO Software Flagship
Practice management integration · tdo4endo.com

TDO Software is the practice management system used by the majority of endodontic practices in North America, and SendVyte is currently the only third-party patient communication platform with native TDO integration. A lightweight SendVyte Agent runs on the practice's TDO server and syncs data in near real time over an authenticated connection.

What syncs:

  • Appointment schedule (new, rescheduled, cancelled) — drives reminders, confirmations, and post-op follow-ups automatically
  • Patient demographics and contact details — no manual list imports, ever
  • Ledger balances and aging buckets — powers targeted accounts receivable campaigns
  • Referring doctor records and referral history — feeds the Endo Referral Marketing module
  • Procedure and operatory data — enables production-schedule analytics

The sync is read-oriented by default. SendVyte never modifies TDO records, and all messaging and payment activity is stored in the SendVyte database — TDO remains the source of truth for clinical and financial records.

Twilio
SMS delivery · A2P 10DLC registered

Every SMS SendVyte sends is delivered through Twilio with full A2P 10DLC campaign registration in place. That matters because unregistered SMS traffic to U.S. carriers is increasingly filtered or dropped entirely — registered traffic lands reliably and supports higher daily throughput.

What the Twilio integration handles:

  • Outbound patient messaging from a practice-specific phone number so replies feel natural
  • Automatic opt-out handling (STOP / UNSUBSCRIBE) per TCPA requirements
  • Delivery status tracking — every message has a verifiable delivery receipt
  • A separate billing messaging service for accounts receivable and statement delivery, isolating commercial traffic from clinical reminders

Practices do not need their own Twilio account. SendVyte operates the Twilio infrastructure and includes SMS volume in the monthly subscription, with overage handled transparently based on plan.

Stripe
Patient payments · Stripe Connect

SendVyte uses Stripe Connect for patient statement payments. During onboarding, the practice connects its own Stripe account, and from that point forward patient payments flow directly from the payer to the practice — SendVyte never holds patient funds and never appears in the money flow as an escrow or intermediary.

What the Stripe integration enables:

  • Branded statement payment links delivered by SMS or email — patients tap, pay, done
  • Automatic ledger reconciliation when a payment succeeds
  • PCI-compliant payment collection: card data is entered directly into Stripe's hosted elements and never touches SendVyte servers
  • Support for partial payments, payment plans, and refunds directly from the practice dashboard
  • Webhook-driven reliability: payment success, failure, and chargeback events are processed in real time

The practice's own Stripe dashboard remains the authoritative record of payouts, fees, and deposits. SendVyte adds the patient-facing messaging layer and the ledger matching — Stripe handles the money.

Google
OAuth sign-in · Maps + Directions API

SendVyte uses Google in two places: optional team member sign-in via Google OAuth, and Google Maps / Directions APIs to power the Endo Referral Marketing (ERM) route optimization feature.

Google OAuth: Team members who prefer it can sign into the SendVyte app with their Google account rather than a SendVyte password. Practice administrators control which domains are allowed and can revoke access at any time.

Google Maps + Directions: When a marketing coordinator generates a referring-doctor visit plan in ERM, the backend calls the Google Directions API to compute the optimal driving order for up to nine stops. The route is then packaged as a short redirect URL that encodes into a small, scannable QR code — the coordinator prints the route sheet, scans the QR on their phone, and Google Maps opens with the full turn-by-turn route loaded.

What about Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental?

SendVyte does not integrate with general dental practice management systems, and that is intentional. Endodontic workflows are different enough from general dentistry — different appointment cadences, different recall logic, different referral economics — that building for both inevitably means doing neither well.

If your practice uses Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental without TDO alongside it, the honest answer is that Weave, Birdeye, or Solutionreach will serve you better. Those platforms have mature integrations with those systems and feature sets oriented around general dentistry.

If your practice uses TDO — standalone or alongside a general dental system for a mixed-practice setup — SendVyte is built specifically for the TDO side of your operation. The rest of our comparison pages go into detail on how SendVyte stacks up against each alternative.

The line we drew: One practice management integration, done deeply, beats five done shallowly. If TDO is your system, SendVyte is the communication platform that actually speaks its language.

Common questions

Do I need my own Twilio account?
No. SendVyte operates the Twilio infrastructure for all customers, including A2P 10DLC registration, number provisioning, and compliance. Included SMS volume is part of each plan; overage is handled transparently. You do not need to create or manage a Twilio account.
Do I need my own Stripe account?
Yes — patient payments flow directly from the patient to the practice via Stripe Connect, so the practice owns the Stripe account and receives funds directly. Connecting an existing Stripe account or creating a new one takes about five minutes during onboarding.
What data does the TDO Agent actually have access to?
The agent reads appointment, patient, ledger, and referring-doctor records from the TDO database. It does not read clinical chart data, imaging, or narrative notes. All traffic between the agent and the SendVyte cloud is encrypted in transit and the connection is authenticated per-practice.
Can I use SendVyte without connecting Google?
Yes. The Google integration is optional. Team members can sign in with a SendVyte password instead of Google OAuth, and the ERM route optimization feature is only relevant if your practice does in-person referral marketing visits. The core patient communication features work without any Google connection.
Is there a public API for building custom integrations?
Not yet. SendVyte is focused on delivering a complete, purpose-built product for endodontic practices rather than exposing a general-purpose API. If your practice has a specific integration need, contact us — we evaluate integration requests case by case.
