SVAlert shows your team which operatory needs whom, and gives everyone one HIPAA compliant channel for the day-to-day coordination between rooms. Use it in the browser on shared practice devices, in the dedicated SVAlert app, or through SendVyte Companion when your user permissions include SVAlert.
Included with SendVyte Specialty and turned on for your practice during setup.
Demo practice · sample data. Copperleaf Endodontics is a sample practice.
Small coordination questions come up all day between operatories.
When the doctor is gowned or at the microscope, staff may have to step out of the room or call down the hall to find out which operatory needs help next.
Wall buzzers, operatory flags and signs can tell the team that a room needs attention, but they don’t give the practice one shared place for room status and staff communication.
Walkie-talkies, personal phones, texts and email create separate channels. SVAlert combines the operatory board and staff messaging on one practice-controlled screen.
A message list left open on an operatory tablet can be read by anyone who walks past.
Traditional room-alert systems rely on wall-mounted buzzers, colored flags or signs outside the operatory. SVAlert can replace them, bringing the room board and staff communication onto the devices your team already uses — shared browser stations, the SVAlert app, or SendVyte Companion for authorized users.
Four steps from setup to your first room alert.
Your admin names the operatories and adds each team member with their initials and a color.
Operatory tablets and front-desk computers open SVAlert in the browser, and each station shows up under its own name, like “Op 3”. Team members can also use the SVAlert app or SendVyte Companion.
Staff send a room alert from the SVAlert operatory board, selecting the room and the teammate needed; the alert appears on the shared board in that teammate’s assigned color. Staff messages sit right below the room grid in one practice-wide channel.
Type your initials and they expand to your colored name, so everyone knows who wrote it, even on a shared tablet.
The board shows each operatory at a glance. Below it, one channel for the whole team, with the list blurred until someone reaches for it. Here’s a Copperleaf demo practice mid-morning.
Send stays off until a recognized sign-off is added.
Select the room and the teammate needed, and the alert appears on the shared board in that teammate’s assigned color.
Instead of relying on personal texts, general-purpose messaging or hallway communication, your authorized team uses one HIPAA compliant staff channel inside SVAlert.
Point a message at the right person, with the same color on the board and in the channel.
On a shared tablet, typed initials expand to the sender’s colored name, so nobody has to ask who wrote it.
The message list is blurred by default and re-blurs when idle, helping keep conversations from remaining visible on shared screens.
Messages are permanently deleted after 14 days. Admins can review removed messages until then.
Personal text threads, ordinary email, walkie-talkies and other general-purpose communication methods may not provide the safeguards, access controls and practice-wide oversight needed for patient-related communication. SVAlert’s staff messaging is designated for patient-related coordination among your authorized team, and a Business Associate Agreement is included with every plan. Messages are limited to your practice’s authorized SVAlert users and devices, the message list is blurred by default, and everything is permanently deleted after 14 days. It’s for coordinating the day, not for the patient record. Room alerts show the room and the teammate needed; patient-related details belong in staff messaging.
